The theme for February, the yucky month of kisses and flowers and love, is
RIP YOUR HEART OUT.

I'm going to leave it up to you how to interpret that theme. Maybe it makes you think of monsters or serial killers or vampires or bloody hearts on a book cover or something else entirely. Give me your best book nominations to fit your ideas.

Remember: Please do not nominate books that have been read before.

Authors please do not nominate your own books. thx

Most of all, get ready to have a bloody good time.

Marie | 4030 comments The first book that popped into my head for this theme was this book which I will nominate. :)

I really like this one, read it ages ago and now reading your awesome post I can't help but nominate it, it's part of a series but you don't have to read on to enjoy this one for what it is, and this one has a lot of heart ...

Heartsick by Chelsea Cain
Heartsick (Archie Sheridan & Gretchen Lowell, #1) by Chelsea Cain

Tracey Kelly (traceykelly) | 4 comments I nomintate the "BLACK WINTER" Series by Darcy Coates (3 books) I LOVED THIS SERIES - it has a LOVE STORY across book and it's super Sweet, with lots of trauma, gore and mystery. I nominate it as it's an AWESOME read. Should be a movie, I wish Blumhouse would do this one!

destiny ♡ howling libraries (howlinglibraries) | 318 comments Also, +1 El Norte!

(and I kind of want to +1 Hellbound Heart and My Heart is a Chainsaw even though I've read them, just because they're both so good 😂 though I think MHIAC has been a group read before!)

The entire series would be a bit much for our group read so how about just the first book: Voices in the Snow
A twisted love story can certainly rip your heart out.

+1 Voices in the Snow, I love Darcy!

message 20: by Steph (new)

Steph | 22 comments I nominate Monstrilio. I'm really hoping to read this book anyway. It deals with grief , love, and monstrosity...It's possible an organ gets removed from a body (maybe not a heart, but close enough).

message 23: by Taylor (new)

Taylor L (taylorjune) I’d like to vote for the book Stuart recommended, The Girl from Rawblood by Catronia Ward

message 24: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Allen (ironamanda) I nominate A Hellbound Heart as well! I'm a big fan of Hellraiser and I've been looking for a reason to read it other than the obvious.

The link to previous group reads is always included in the opening post. If you scroll down in the link, you'll find an alphabetized list that's easy to navigate! (I check it all the time). :)
