Lana Farrar is a reclusive ex–movie star and one of the most famous women in the world. Every year, she invites her closest friends to escape the English weather and spend Easter on her idyllic private Greek island.

I tell you this because you may think you know this story. You probably read about it at the time ― it caused a real stir in the tabloids, if you remember. It had all the necessary ingredients for a press a celebrity; a private island cut off by the wind…and a murder.

We found ourselves trapped there overnight. Our old friendships concealed hatred and a desire for revenge. What followed was a game of cat and mouse ― a battle of wits, full of twists and turns, building to an unforgettable climax. The night ended in violence and death, as one of us was found murdered.

I started this as an audio book and I really liked it!
But I had to flip back to physical book to keep reading lol

and it was Lana - I wasn't sure who I thought it would be but Lana makes sense

so Leo had moved the guns. and I think only Elliot and Leo knew that. did someone else find the guns or did they use a different gun?

I tried to keep track of who arrived when to the body but I wasn't sure it mattered. Curious to see where it goes from here! (hide spoiler)]

Act 2 / 166 pages

(view spoiler)[ I'm really enjoying this as an audio book. I really like the narrator - and I'm noticing the audio has the UK version - saying torch instead of my American hardcover which says flashlight! lol

but I like when he breaks and talks to the reader. I really liked that last chapter, when he detailed how it could have gone

and my money was actually on Kate. I was also worried about a suicide or an accident but now I'm really not sure.
I just really hope it doesn't end up being our narrator. that would make me sad because I believed him when he said he liked her so much (hide spoiler)]

Act 3 / 223 pages

(view spoiler)[okay, no I don't like the narrator. He's the typical "no really I'm a nice guy" while he manipulates and hurts the person he supposedly loves - all so HE can have her. Gross.

Interesting that the first death was a fake out. I was wondering what really happened. That seems out of character for Lana - to fool the others like that. I wonder what Elliot convinced her it would achieve hmmm (hide spoiler)]

I did find his friendship with Lana so distasteful. I agree, he unrealistic expectations and ideas for Lana and was only happy when she was fulfilling them. It's like he didn't even consider she was her own person. he was so gross.
