Kristy's Great Idea question

My mom bought me a few books as a "Christian" alternative to The Babysitter's Club in the early 1990s. The series would probably have been written then or in the 1980s. It was about a group of girls in middle school or early high school. One was a model and one was from Ottawa, CA or maybe they all lived there? The books were paperback and the covers were all pastel colors. Does anyone else remember this and know what the name of this series was called?
