CrazyAsACupcake | 438 comments i'm going to try and keep on top of documenting my books this year! i'm currently struggling with autistic burnout, so i think most of my reads will be mangas, but as long as i'm enjoying myself that's okay!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Short review/comments:
I was so excited to read this volume! I had already spoiled something for myself ((view spoiler)) but I still needed to know who was going to be picked between the other two! I spent the entire volume weighing them all against each other - Chigiri's speed/Kunigami's strength/Reo's all-around reliability - and I wasn't even fully sure of who was going to be taken into the 4v4 in the next round..

I'm not a huge fan of Barou, but I must say that I did really enjoy him being essentially left in the dust by Isagi and Nagi - them telling him that he can either play as a team or not play at all - and how that triggered an awakening within him. Referring to himself as the villain to Isagi's hero? Perfection.

One thing I've said for a while is how Blue Lock utilises cliffhangers really well. I noticed this with Haikyu!!, too - how they'll never have a conclusive end point, the chapter will always bleed into something else or be the introduction of a new thing you want to find out about. In this volume, it ended before we could find out who was chosen for the 4v4; if we had been told outright, we would've been like oh, okay, lol and wouldn't have cared enough about picking up the next volume too quick.

CrazyAsACupcake | 438 comments I will try and add all of my short reviews/comments by the end of the week! I'm mainly just going to be copying from my journal and adding some expansions on some thoughts. They aren't really intellectual in any way (i mean, it's manga...), but it's just what I was thinking at the time of reading :)

Lisa Grønsund | 6163 comments Hey!
How's your documenting going so far? :D I started the year off with all the intention of being better at keeping up with my personal page here on Goodreads, but failed terribly fast :D oh well, there's always next year to do better.

Regardless, it looks as though you've gotten a good start to your reading journey. You're doing great.
I hope you have an amazing 2024.
Happy reading!
