The crossing was terrifying. Of course theres a villian in Jack. Him throwing another off the bridge was terrible.
I enjoyed the drama in chapter 3. Moving her unit into fourth wing. 70 dead.. oof.

What the hell is happening.
I don't think they should be punished for sins of their parents but why exactly would you arm the rebel kids with how to fight. Seems silly to me, however that meeting seemed more than just helping them survive.
Normally I would say if a book says one side is right and the other is wrong then usually its the other way around.
Soooo my guess is she gets the black dragon? When is that going to happen!!
That display on the mats was interesting. I don't think he is toying with her completely I think he wants her to survive so hes trying to teach her.

I am 15% into PART 1 of descriptive audio and I've never read one before and it's so interesting (view spoiler)[ the way she describes Zayden in this is backgrounded to some wild sappy music and it was hilarious - I forgot how many people die right off the bat as well kinda hunger games (hide spoiler)]

I really enjoyed this story. I would have given it 4.5 stars if I could have. I liked it enough to want to read more of the series.

Diving back into this world, hello re-read, because I've been so scared to jump into the sequel! Hoping this will motivate me to move forward lol

Ch 1-6: (view spoiler)[I really know nothing about this series except everyone thinks this is the best book ever. I'm not sure where I fall just yet. I don't care for her mom, Dain I'm undecided about, Jack is an ass, Xaden I feel like we are supposed to hate him, but I feel like he's bad. Well maybe he is, but I don't think he will be with Violet. I mean he was smelling her at one point, lol. I don't know, I'm just making a lot of guesses. (hide spoiler)]

Ch 7-12: (view spoiler)[So at first I thought for sure Violet would get the black dragon. But now I'm almost convinced she gets the Feather tail dragon. There is way to much talk about how they never bond, they were told one wouldn't be there, etc...for it to not have some significance. I also hate that we only have her POV. This story desperately needs someone else's. (hide spoiler)]

Ch 13-20: (view spoiler)[Ok so at first I thought she would bond with the black dragon. I was convinced until the feather tail came into the picture...well to my amaze, she bonds with BOTH, lol. I didn't see that coming, but it's interesting. I'm not sure why Dain doesn't think she can do anything. I feel like there is more going on that we don't know with him. Like is he working with someone? I'm very interested to see what her power will be. The halting time is definitely interesting. I'm also not buying Xaden's dislike of her. I feel like it's a front (hide spoiler)]
