"Relax Scarlet. No need to be alarmed." Alex replied with an amused look in his eyes and an faint smile on his lips though he stayed out of the reach of the lamp as he stood up straight, his hands at his sides. "I found you unconscious in the forest and i took you here to your aunts."

"How did you know where my aunt's place was? Most importantly, why do you have your shirt off?" She felt stupid asking the first one. It wasn't hard to find the few log cabins in a dense forest. But, the second question she was curious about. Not saying he wasn't good looking... 'He's really good looking.' She thought.

Alex shifted a little as if he was suddenly uncomfortable and he rubbed the back of his neck then said "Well, you were freezing and I was hot. Not that i kind of hot, i meant warm-" and he stopped what he was saying before he could make himself look more like an idiot, an shy and embarassed look on his face. He had never felt embarassed or shy before but for some reasom she was making him feel like that though in an good but embarassing way.

She smiled a bit and laughed. "Thank you." She said softly. "But, it probably isn't good to be shirtless in winter. Maybe I can find some clothes that my uncle wore." She said. She started to walk around with the blanket still around her as she looked around for her uncle's stuff.

"Am I distracting you without an shirt on?" Alex said with both an curious and amused look in his eyes and on his face as he looked at her though he stayed where he was at as usual. He didn't want to her feel like that he was going to do something to her if she saw him walking towards her so he just decided to stay there.

"No. I just worried that your cold." She walked to her uncle's box and opened it. She pulled out a shirt that had his favorite baseball team, but it was deeply faded. She walked back and tossed him the shirt. "Do you need a jacket too?"

"Hmm." Alex murmured and he couldn't help but chuckled softly a bit to himself as he caught the shirt, ignoring the fact that it smelled musty and old, and looked at it before he put it on and looked at her, the shirt hugging his upper body so it kind of ended up showing his strong, solid and lean body build.

She glanced away. That shirt could never look that good on her uncle, but it seemed to work for him. She held a arm above her cheeks hoping she wasn't blushing. "Okay. Now that you have some sort of warmth. Are you suppose to be staying here?" She asked and glanced at him.

"So eager to through me out into the cold." Alex said with amusment in his voice and an faint smile but he shook his head slightly and said "Better go before your aunt is tempted to ask me to stay for dinner." though he was just playing around but he seriously didn't know if he should just take off the shirt and leave or just give it back the next day if she wanted to hang out again

"Okay. Also... Did you see any thing besides me when I was passed out?" She asked before he decided to leave. She was curious if it was really a wolf that saved her. A simple minded wolf that made her feel warm. She probably sounded crazy, but was curious.

Alex didn't say anything for a bit then he said "I better go. I promise I'll return the shirt next time I see you." his expression hidden by the shadows as he turned around and walked out of the living room before she could try to make him answer and walked out of thr house, closing the door behind him before walking back into the woods.

She was about to chase after him, but saw he was already long gone. She watched the forest just in case, but he wasn't there. She walked back to her room and laid down on the bed. Her mind was clouded by the wolf and Alex.

Instead of heading back to his house, Alex was sitting down on an log nearby with his face in his hands and he let out an sigh before raising his head and stood up then muttered to himself "Dammit. I need to see her again." before he head back to the forest line infront of Scarlet's house and he looked around before walking towards the side wheere he assumed was Scarlets window was at and he picked up an small pebble then threw it at the window but not hard enough to break or crack the glass then he quietly said "Scarlet." hoping she heard him

She heard a small noise and stood up. She rubbed her face and looked at the time. 'Midnight.' She thought. There was a light tap on the window and it made her flinch. She turned around and opened the window. She shivered slightly as she did it.

Alex heard her get up and an minute later he saw the window open as well as Scarlet standing there opening it and he said "Back up real fast." as he took a few steps back. He did not know or understand wht he was doing there but he had to see her again even though he had already seen her twice that day and he couldn't really blame her for thinking he was crazy.

She tilted her head. "What? What are you doing here?" She hissed in a whisper. When he told her to move back, she did. She wondered why he was back. Didn't he have a family to go back to? She wondered if his family was biting their nails now.

Alex looked away from her as he stopped then he ran towards the house but instead of colliding into the wall he ran up it before jumping off it into an tree nearby then jumpimg off the tree through the window smoothly feet first so that he was standing on his feet into her room, an small grin on his face as if he was proud of what he just did

She cringed when his feet hit the floor. Her aunt was a hawk when it came to sound. "Nice job." She said. "But, why aren't you back home?" She whispered. "Isn't your family worried about you?" She asked. She walked to her bed and say back down.

"I don't have an family." Alex admitted as he did his best not to look around at the room and just remained standing there next to the window with his hands in his pockets, the grin gone now from his face/lips

She flinched slightly. "Oh. Sorry I brought that up." She looked down slightly. She noticed he was just standing by the window. She got up and grabbed his hand. "If you won't do anything, I think it'll be okay if we sleep on the same bed. I'm sure your tired." She laid down and scooted over so he had room.

"I have an house. Just not an family and its okay, I'm use to it." Alex said and he just sat down next to her though he kept his legs and feet off the bed and off the sode of it. He was tired but he was probably just going to sit with her until she fell asleep and as well as to make sure Scarlet would be safe and okay before he left

She noticed he didn't lay down, but didn't say anything. She closed her eyes and blurted out, "the animals..." She got quiet. Thinking of what she should say next. "... Normally they don't care if a human dies. But, why did that one save me?" She still had her eyes closed.

Alex didn't say anything for a bit then after a few seconds he murmured "Maybe because it or he felt as if you reminded him of someone or thing that he use to care about or maybe he felt like he wanted to protect you and make sure your safe." then he realized he said to much and became quiet, staring at the wall in front of them.

She glanced at him and was surprised he even responded. She moved her eyes back and closed them. "That's a very thoughtful animal then." She smiled a bit. Then, slowly fell asleep with Alex's words fluttering around her head like butterflies.

Alex listened until he heard her fall asleep and he looked over at her and he smiled faintly as he saw her sleeping then he listened to see if her aunt was still asleep and when he sure he was he got up and locked the room door so that when her aunt woke up she wouldnt just walk in without any warning then he sat back down on the bed and looked back at the wall. He knew he should leave but he didn't want to leave her alone with just her aunt. He sighed and rubbed his face before moving his hand to his side then he looked over at her again before making up his mind and layed down facing her though he made sure there was a bit of room between them so he wouldn't be invading her personal space and just laid there with his eyes closed though he was still awake, forgetting about the open window.

She felt the bed shift and realized that he had laid down. Of course, she gave no mind since she was asleep. Though in her dream, she was still in the snow. The breeze felt so real and it made her shiver both in her dream and in real life. She curled up on the bed and took in small breaths.

Alex opened his eyes when he felt her shiver and he saw she was curled up shaking and taking small breaths. He hesitated then he sighed and muttered "Please don't get mad or hate me for this." then after still hesitating he wrapped her in his arms and gently held her close to him though not to close where as she was pressed up against him then he closed his eyes again, using his body heat to keep her warm

She slowly started to relax. In her dream, the wolf was there. The heat returned and she managed a smile. She slept soundly until morning. She opened her eyes and stirred slightly. She still felt the heat as she rubbed her eyes.

Alex had fallen asleep soundlessly except for snoring softly with his arms still around Scarlet though he had also moved the blanket so that she was half covered by it but he remained outside the blanket to give her some space. He had been awake almost about half way through the night before he had managed to fall asleep as well.

She felt his arms around her and flinched. She shifted around and saw Alex's sound asleep. She smiled a little bit. Scarlet was about to kiss his head when she heard a howl. She flinched again and looked at the window. 'I sometimes hate nature.' She thought.

Alex felt Scarlet move and his arms tightened around her as he protectively and gently pulled her closer to him a little, still sound/fast asleep. He had heard the howling in his sleep if that was possible but he had just ignored it and remained asleep though he felt more protective over her now.

She looked at him and felt his arms tightening around her. She was slightly afraid he may just squeeze her to death. She sighed slightly and realized it was a protective hold. 'Why is he protective all of a sudden?' She thought. She didn't want to move that much, but the nature noises outside didn't help.

Alex didn't want to wake up just yet but the noises outside did wake him up and when he opened his eyes, the light coming outside from the window momentarily blinded him and he ended up blinking a lot then he just closed his eyes until the light dissapeared then he opened his eyes and he looked groggily at Scarlet through his just blurry vision and he sleepily murmured "Your awake."

She nodded slightly and watched him. 'He looks so cute when he wakes up.' She thought. Then felt embarrassed for such a thought though. They had just met yesterday. Such thoughts are odd. She still stared at him though. She reached over and brushed some hair out of his face. "Yeah. I'm awake."

Alex weekly laughed softly and he moved one of his arms off from around her and placed his hand over hers when her hand got to his cheek, leaning gently and softly into her hand with his overs her and he closed his eyes again. He liked how her skin or rather her hand felt against his cheek as she made him feel relaxed and vcalm, almost as if he was human like her.

She watched him and felt the heat radiate off of him. His skin was soft like hers and she loved that. Something similar between them. She smiled a bit and thought she might actually say her feelings out loud. There was a knock on the door and Scarlet flinched.

Alex's eyes opened once he heard the knocking but he didn't look scared or nervous but rather very calm as he looked at Scarlet and his eyes seemed to say "Do you want to answer that?" as he moved her hand off his cheeck but still gently held her hand in his. He wasnt scared of being caught as he could easily dissapear if someone walked in or thought they saw him and if he wanted to.

She stared at him a little longer until her aunt knocked on the door again. She looked at her hand and slowly slid it out. The longing struck instantly as she got up. She wished she could do more. She walked to the door and unlocked it. She opened the door slightly. "Hi honey bear. Breakfast is ready." Her aunt said. Scarlet nodded and walked out without looking back at the bed.

Alex watched her leave and after he saw Scarlet walk away he soghed and sat up, rubbing his face before getting up and walked to the door closing it all the way softly before walking around the room looking around except for through or in the stuff that Scarlet would most likely get mad at him for. He was already missing her even though she had just left a few seconds ago but the longing struck anyways.

She had to eat with her aunt who kept asking her about yesterday. "You should be more careful." Her aunt said. Scarlet sighed as she stabbed her eggs with her fork. "Also, why was a guy bringing you home?" Scarlet looked at her. "It's our neighbor." She said. Her aunt sighed. "Well... You shouldn't have hanged out with him." Scarlet looked at her. "Why! He saved me!" Her aunt shook her head. "No."

Alex finished looking around and sat back down on the bed his legs on the bed when he looked to the side and saw an game boy on the dresser next to the bed. He grabbed it and turned it on as the game menu for an call of duty game and he turned the volume off before starting the game. He hoped Scarlet came back as the longing became worse and the physical pain of being away from Scarlet, his mate, started.

She understood why her aunt was so protective. Her sister died aka Scarlet's mother as well as Scarlet's father. Then, a couple of weeks ago her uncle had died. Now it was just Scarlet and her aunt. "He's not bad though." Her aunt slammed her hand on the table, making it clash with silverware. "You barely know him. For all we know he could be insane." Her aunt said. Scarlet rolled her eyes. "He's not. And I'm going to see him." Scarlet said even though she knew he was right in her bedroom. Her aunt pinched her nose. "No. You aren't because you are grounded."

In a few minutes, Alex finished about 5 levels of the game before he paused the game and rubbed his face as the pain grew and worsened. He stood up but just ended up sitting back as he rubbed the back of his neck as he tried to ignore the pain but it just got worse until he was shaking woth pain.

Scarlet shook her head. "Fine whatever. You're the boss." Her aunt narrowed her eyes. "How dare you talk to me like that! I'm your—" Scarlet shook her head. "Stop! No you're not my mother. She died. I'm not even suppose to be with you! I'm suppose to be in a orphanage." Her aunt grew quiet and she stormed away to her room. Scarlet sighed and turned to go back to her room as well.

Alex looked up when he heard yelling downstairs and he halfway got up to go down there but he stopped himself and sat back down and thought "If I go down there Scarlets aunt is going to get her in more trouble." and he clenched his hands as more pain raked through his body

She walked back to the room and opened the door. She didn't say anything because she was afraid her aunt might come back. She didn't. "Sorry... She is really protective at times." She apologized. Then saw he looked in pain. "What's wrong?" She asked softly.

Alex looked at her but didn't say anything as he stood up and walked towards her until he stood right in front of her and he murmured "I can't stand it anymore. Please forgive me." then he cupped her face in his hands and looked at her before he gently and softly pressed his lips against her's, kissing her and the pain began to dissapear. Even though the pain began to go, the reason he kissed her was also because he couldn't resist the urge anymore.

She was about to ask him what was wrong again when he stood in front of her. But, his words shocked her. Of course, it didn't shock her as much as his lips connecting with hers. She was taken back and her heart sped. She kissed back for a while until she drew away and staggered back to the door.

Alex looked sad as he looked at her when she pulled away and staggered away from him and he said "I'm sorry." then he turned around and walked towards the window, going to leave as he believed she was mad at him and didn't want him there. He knew that he was going to end up in pain but he also didn't wsant to be there if he was just going to make her mad at him.

"No. Wait." She grabbed his t-shirt sleeve and closed her eyes. Her heart still raced from the kiss. "I-I was a bit startled. You caught me off guard. But, if you want to leave." She got to her box out and pulled her old jacket out. She put on a scarf and gloves. "I want to go with you."
