Richard Ferrone was a very good narrator, a big loss when he passed away. I'll have to look into the Karin Fossum.

although I have to admit, I was surprised to see an elin hilderbrand book on your list!

I am trying to branch out a bit and thought the Hilderbrand book would be a quick romance. I managed to pick up one of her most polarizing books though going by the reviews here on Goodreads. I did like it though and will try more of her books.

her books, for me, are perfect beach books- a little predictable but easy reading and I like her characters and the setting. several characters appear In multiple books, although they aren't series books.

Interested to see your review; she's been on my list since Sherry's bookstore hosted her and I heard what a following she has. I like the occasional romance and curious to see if I will like her. Current faves are Jasmine Guillory and Emily Henry.

Here are my January reads:
Top Read
Happiness Falls - Angie Kim
Both thought provoking and suspenseful, this was a very involving look at a family trying to navigate a tragic circumstance. Listened to the audio version which was ably narrated by Shannon Tyo, Sean Patrick Hopkins, and Thomas Pruyn.
Good Reads
Wish It Lasted Forever: Life with the Larry Bird Celtics - Dan Shaughnessy
An interesting look back at the Celtics during the Larry Bird era by the former beat writer of the team for the Boston Globe.
Judgment Prey - John Sandford
This will not rank as one of my favorites in the series but it was a fun listen and I always enjoy Lucas and Virgil. Listened to the audio version which was narrated by Robert Petkoff who was fine but I did miss the late, great Richard Ferrone.
The Murder of Harriet Krohn - Karin Fossum
Very different but a strangely compelling psychological suspense tale. While part of the Inspector Seger series, Seger has hardly any page time and the main focus is on a desperate man and the aftermath of his actions.
Nantucket Nights - Elin Hilderbrand
Set on the island of Nantucket, I found this to be a fast read even though the melodrama factor was high and the characters actions were not the most believable.
