What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Looking for author or title. Two main characters are Bryan, a cop who finds murder scenes quickly and seems to think he may be the killer while the other is a kid who is bullied by three schoolmates and has an overprotective mother. Bryans' partner is Hispanic. Would love to find out if there are more books as well.
