Year: I'm looking for a science fiction book that I read about 10 years ago in middle school, though I'm pretty sure the book is much older than that.
Plot: In it, the main character, a young boy, is required by his parents to go visit a relative who lives on Alpha Centauri over his summer break. The boy does not want to visit, because traveling by rocketship takes a long time and he doesn't want to miss his basketball team practice that starts before school, so the family sends the boy via body transfer. He travels via body transfer into his clone, the only difference he notes is a 1-2 inch seam on the back of his neck that can be hidden by his hair. His relative (i'm pretty sure it's his aunt, but i'm not too certain) is quite rich, if not a little off-putting. Their great-grandfather or something was one of the first to visit Alpha Centauri and claimed some land because of it, allowing them to have a really nice place filled with luxuries.
Plot Twist (spoilers): at the end of the book, the boy finds out the relative (or aunt possibly) has also been a body double/clone this whole time because she has the 1-2 inch seam on the back of her neck.
That's all I can remember. Any ideas on what this book could be are appreciated!
