Finished the part where he is whipped and then the whole episode with Ambrose, which despite making me feel sorry for Kvothe, also made me feel that he needed it, if only to help tone down his slight arrogance! I finished it Deej! And yeah (view spoiler)[Arrogant is the word I will use to describe Kvothe..and along with it foolish as well! Looks like he didn't learn anything from Abenthy! He actually fell off the damn ledge! Idiot is what he is..Or desperate! When desperation increases, sanity is far away - Kvothe and his actions prove that point! (hide spoiler)]

Lol.. I am cool, don't worry. I kind of expected that from Kvothe! He is (view spoiler)[too arrogant and too juvenile for his own good. He may have learnt sympathy and other things at a young age but his age definitely shows when he is dealing with people. He lacks a great deal of maturity, which is annoying. You expect a person who has suffered great personal tragedy and who has gone through what he went through in Tarbean to become a little mature, despite his age..Alas Kvothe disappoints in that! He hasn't learnt anything. He just believes that as he has faced a great deal of trouble, he can face anything... Little does he know that the world doesn't work like that! I am thinking that he will learn it soon enough.. Being the hero and since he is the narrator, I guess it doesn't hurt him much but in the long run.. well.. he is an idiot! (hide spoiler)]

That's all I can handle for today. Am going to change books now and resume this one again tomorrow when I am fresh and not so exasperated with the 'hero' of the book! Lol!

I loved your post about the way Kvothe worked on the lute strings.
