Anirudh Sympathy was an interesting concept. I liked it. Different from what we usually encounter.

The book could have been much more entertaining if not for Superman Kvothe

message 444: by Zaara (new)

Zaara @Utkarsh, was wondering where you had gotten to...kya yar, finished and didn't even come here and tell us all about it...
And I've noticed you're usually pretty generous with your star ratings...what was so bad about this read that it fell so far short of the rest of your bookshelf?

Hmmm...have you noticed how people either love this book or love to hate it??
And I'm gonna spend my lunch break reading...
It's gonna be awesome watching you and Utkarsh and Ani get going on your various fantasy reads. By the way, this is for you, Polo. Have you read Locke Lamora?

message 446: by Utkarsh (new)

Utkarsh (utkarsh12) @Zarra well, you people liked it so much , so I was afraid to express my view of NOTW here.

I am not generous about my ratings. I have read books only after going through various reviews. I was picky about books, But nowadays I am changing my reading habits.

@Utkarsh...I will say this once bébè...two As in Zaara ;-)
Zarra means something else I think...but my Hindi isn't that great.....
Psssst, blame your phone ka autocorrect...
And as I was just telling Polo....right now...she, I and Abster and (maybe) Machchi (that's Vimal) are the only ones who love the book.
You and Ani and almost all the others are in the majority....

~~Poulomi Sylphrena Tonk$~~ | 5979 comments Zaara - Yeah, I've noticed that. Smitha was the only one in between. :P
Or else, most people are on polar opposite ends. And the best part of it, most of us hate and love the book for the same reasons.

And no, I haven't read Locke yet, its on my TBR. :)
What about you?

Speaking of which, I'll read Kingkiller #2 sometime in the coming months.. Let me know if you want to continue the series. :)

~~Poulomi Sylphrena Tonk$~~ | 5979 comments Zaara- Ginny and Purvi like it tooooo !!! :D

message 450: by Utkarsh (new)

Utkarsh (utkarsh12) @Zaara okay, I will surely remember. :)

I blame my phone's browser, and many tabs open in it, my mind was in lot of places.

I don't hate it, I just don't like it. Hate is a strong word.
