Wheel of Fortune is an American television game show that has aired continuously since January 1975. It features a competition in which contestants solve word puzzles, similar to those in hangman, to win cash and prizes determined by spinning a giant carnival wheel. Since its premiere, the program has been adapted into several international adaptations. The 1975 version premiered on Australian TV in 1981 and premiered in the UK in 1988.

Choose One Option Below:

Option 1. Read two books, one book 1 and one book 2:

Book 1:
Category Same Letter: Read a book with a title that begins and ends with the same letter (all words count)
or
Category Same Name: Read a book with an author that shares a first or last name with one these hosts, VANNA WHITE, PAT SAJAK, RYAN SEACREST, NICKY CAMPBELL, BRADLEY WALSH, JOHN LESLIE, ERNIE SIGLEY, JOHN BURGESS, TONY BARBER, ROB ELLIOTT, STEVE OEMCKE, LARRY EMDUR, TIM CAMPBELL.
Name must match exactly, Position does not matter

Book 2:
Spin the wheel: https://wheelofnames.com/fep-n25 and read a book with the corresponding MPG

The genre may be stand alone or embedded
Required: State the MPG
or

Option 2: Read one book that satisfies the requirements for both books of Option 1.

Amy | 2178 comments I spun Suspense/Thriller for book 2. I'm guessing that I can use either Suspense or Thriller as the MPG for my chosen book, but wanted to confirm.

Is a subtitle excluded from this? I would like to read Dissolved A Novel by Sara Blaedel which would fit option 2 with a title beginning and ending with D and MPG of Thriller since I spun Suspense/Thriller. I don't know why that subtitle (a novel) is included on the main page except maybe because it is translated into English?

Melanie Schroer | 92 comments Hi there!
For Option 1: Book 1, would an author's name "Robert" count as sharing a first name with Rob Elliott?
Similarly, when considering the first/last letter of the title, does "the" count? Specifically, I am looking to include the following book for this task to meet either/both of the requirements for Book 1:
The Downloaded by Robert J. Sawyer
Thanks for the clarification!
