Rosemary | 4288 comments 10.7 Strange New Worlds (Karen Michele's task)
Visit a strange new world without leaving your chair by reading one of the first 150 books from one of these lists:
Cli-Fi: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/3... (including all books numbered 150)
Space: https://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/... (the first 3 pages)
If the book is in a series, all books in the series work.

Please post your questions about task 10.7 here.

As posted in the 10.3 thread, I already had The Three-Body Problem pencilled in for 20.5. It's a library book, but it's looking more and more attractive for the season. 🤞

I hope you write a review if you do end up reading it! So curious about this one...

Elizabeth (Alaska) | 14233 comments I'm not a sci-fi reader, but, maybe 2-3 years ago, a man at my face to face book reported on this one and he made it sound so interesting that I have considered this adventure ever since. And yes, if I do read it, I'll post a review. I have a personal "rule" that I cannot start a book until I've written a review of the one just finished.

I really liked that trilogy. The books are pretty complicated/high concept and are just fascinating. Also, I found them to be exquisitely foreign--some of the ideas and solutions to problems struck me as completely different from anything a westerner would have proposed.
