Looking for mystery novels that don't involve violent crimes and focused more on the puzzle-solving element. The only examples I can think of are Chasing Vermeer (centered on art theft) and the Arsene Lupin stories about theft. Any age group is fine, and cozy mysteries are fine as well.

"No Place Like Holmes" by Jason Lethcoe is a good kids one
if historical romance subplots are cool with you,Grace Burrowes has two mystery series. Lady Violet Investigates and A Gentleman Fallen on Hard Times are the first in each.
also check out this YA series, The Enola Holmes Mysteries. six in that collection and there are also three more afterwards.
Some of Jojo Moyes' books fall into this category, I think. The Last Letter from Your Lover is a puzzle/mystery involving two time periods and letters that were misdirected. Who was who and what really happened is pretty interesting. There's also a romance or maybe two involved.
You might enjoy trying a book by Rhys Bowen , by Tikiri Herath, by David Rosenfelt ( if you like dogs ) , and My Name Is Anna by Lizzy Barber .
