I think I know too much about trees to be his target audience with this book. I kept waiting for some new information, but everything presented was something I already knew. The only thing I learned from the entire book was why beech trees don't have lightening scars. And I definitely had issues with the humanizing of trees. Bark is bark, not skin; sap is sap, not tree blood. That was almost too much for me.
