Play Book Tag discussion

The mysterious disappearance of Dr. John Holmes has the entirety of London in shock, especially Sherlock Holmes. Holmes' young sister, Enola, still hiding from her controlling brothers, learns of Watson's plight and determines to find his whereabouts. Enola has become quite adept at disguise and this time she purchases several concealing devices from a strange shop run by a bawdy, grouchy woman who relates that she inherited the store from her late husband. Enola calls upon the worried Mrs. Watson and notices a very strange bouquet of flowers all of which have the meaning of death. Enola realizes the bizarre plants had to have been grown in a hothouse setting and she sets out to find out who could be threatening Dr. Watson. What she discovers are deep family secrets, mental illness and a devilish plot for revenge.

This is a delightful young adult series with a wonderful character in Enola Holmes. The mysteries are always quite well plotted and I've enjoyed the 3 I have read so far.

I love the title, it does make me curious about this series.

I have liked the series quite a bit and it's a nice break from the adult blood-soaked mystery stories. The first two books have been made into Netflix movies starring Millie Bobbie Brown and the (be still my heart) gorgeous Henry Cavill.

I really enjoy the Netflix movies, but I didn't realize they were based on books. Definitely need to check out the books!
