Not really. It was really long and everything that happened was either depressing or pointless. The ending was only a tiny bit of a surprise, it felt inevitable that it would end that way. Which was depressing. I mean at least it wasn't trying to say President Snow was a good guy all along just motivated by different things. No, he's genuinely an evil guy whose upbringing molded him to believe the ends always justify the means. But the fact that it slogged on for 500+ pages to make that point is depressing. The philosophical point was mildly interesting as well but it didn't come into play enough to redeem it.

I personally loved it, but I can see why so many people don't. I did really enjoy the philosophical part of it, and a lot of the characters. Also, seeing the Games, and all the nods to the original trilogy. :)
Yes, the hints to the trilogy we're interesting! And understanding how the formation of the Games came about was also intriguing.

Haha thanks.It was pretty good! It's a sci-fi book about a city on the moon called Artemis, and how the main character gets caught up in a conspiracy to take over the city. It's not my favorite book of the author's, but I did enjoy it - especially because I love science haha. There was some questionable content, which definitely brings down my rating of it, but it wasn't too bad.
Is that by Andy Weir? Same guy who wrote Project Hail Mary? Loved that book
Yep! Yes, I also loved Project Hail Mary. Have you read The Martian by him? That one is my favorite.
No I haven’t yet but I have read a few short stories. I’ll have to pick it up!!

It was a reread but I loved it so much both times!! It’s really well written in my opinion but it’s definitely a book I read slowly so I can absorb everything better!
