It was... good but not what I expected. Before reading it I didn't realize it was so political, though I do agree on most of what she was talking about. I'm just not a fan of reading about politics lol. But it was still good! Her first book was 5 stars for me, and I would highly recommend that one as well!

Well, her first book is about how she defected from North Korea. Her second book however is about when she immigrated to America and the politics in the book are Conservative vs. Liberal, where she leans heavily towards the Conservative side.

I the first book she does talk about her spiritual journey which is not entirely Christian but she does talk about a Christian group that tries to help her and I think about a Christian group from Texas that she interacts with at one point in her life that had a real impact on her life but yeah … it’s interesting… not exactly sure where she stands now

Ok. So her reason for defecting wasn’t necessarily because she became a Christian and was being persecuted for it. It was just the general oppression.
