It was a very sleepy day (lack of sleep from the previous night) yesterday and I needed a perk me up audio. I started and discarded a few audiobooks until this one. I think it was a combination of the book itself and narrator and it really did perk me up.
As cozy mysteries go, it was a very easy reading/listening. I love the bakery setting (I don't know where I can get myself a currant bun in Sydney but I really want one!) and the family focus. It amazes me how the protagonists of cozy mysteries are always bewildered with the fact that anyone wanted to kill them. I mean, you're investigating a murder, what do you expect? LOL
I love that Lyndsay Murray knows how to protect herself but I am not a fan of the love interest angle. If I'm thinking that's the way it's going then I think we need one who is actually standing in her corner.
