I totally get it. Life happens for everyone. Have grace for & be kind to yourself. We appreciate your time & all you do on here, Amanda. :)

Task 7: Read a book set in a school.
Question 8: What trend do you hope makes a come back?
Task 8: Read a book published in the year your partner was born.

I can't think of a single class I didn't like. There was never enough time to learn everything. I loved all the classes and learning as much as I could. Music, sports, languages, maths, science, theatre, Shakespeare, literature, creative writing, journalism, anthropology, etc. I loved them! Hmm well once I took a class on 'business' and found it dreadfully dull, so that would be my least favourite.

Whiplash (2014) - Damien Chazelle A short-ish story at 118pp
A promising young drummer enrolls at a cut-throat music conservatory where his dreams of greatness are mentored by an instructor who will stop at nothing to realize a student's potential.

(Btw, Whiplash is such a great movie!)
I'm going to read:
Broken Music: A Memoir by Sting
About 283 pages.
---
A trend I hope makes a comeback is politeness in society. Opening doors for people, offering your seat to those who need it more than you, etc.
I was born in 1981.

I was born on the same day.

My daughter Faith was born on the 20th of March 1981.

I'm currently reading Totto-chan: The Little Girl at the Window (1981) - Tetsuko Kuroyanagi
Not finished yet but will definitely be 5 stars!
I'm not feeling well for reading, my head and eyes hurt - i think it's the rainy weather. Holidays are over - back to class now!
2 books based on numbers....sigh. This would be so much easier if it was based on years, or on a way to find the books to read.

When Gadgets Betray Us: The Dark Side of Our Infatuation With New Technologies - 242
Worth the Risk: How to Microdose Bravery to Grow Resilience, Connect More, and Offer Yourself to the World - 263
Also because on Goodreads, the Kindle, Paperback, & Hardcover page numbers are usually all different.

And it's ok, you didn't have to. I just used math. :)

Or the 2 digits of the age anywhere in the page count. Like 240, 136, 274, etc.

I'll check for the two numbers anywhere in the page count. I'm doing so many challenges!! ahaha
