I read this as an extra M book, tagged 9 times as coming of age, finished 3/14/14
This was my first book by Paul Murray. I enjoyed his writing and his character development as well as the way the book would jump from past to present. I also enjoyed how the story was told through the eyes of 4 characters, all from the same family. The last quarter of the book went very quickly; I couldn’t wait to see how it ended but I didn’t want to see what was going to happen! The end of this book was quite stunning and I’d love to hear what anyone else thinks.
Glad you enjoyed it, Kim. I agree with you about the writing and the characters. For me, the last quarter and ending ruined it. I think this is another one of those "love it or hate it" types of books.
