I used Kindle Direct Publishing for the e-books and Create Space for the print version. The cost of publishing is almost nothing, just a few dollars for an isbn and then if you want to do print books you pay for proofs, but that's around $5.
These blog posts are pretty specific, and might be better than emails. And remember, publishing the book yourself is the easy part. The part that costs money is advertising, making fliers and bookmarks, etc. http://carolynwyattwrites.com/2014/03/
