You asked in the right place & thanks for your research.
There are two problems here:
1. There is a bug (around 11 years old) where if you merge two quotes you lose some of the likes.
2. We need to do something as the Burke version has 427 likes. Once it gets to 500 likes regular librarians can't do anything, including editing the tags!
So I have used the usual "attributed no source" tag even though we know it was almost certainly said by Smith. So I added "quote-by-sydney-smith"

The Brady one I think is just different enough to leave. I am not sure what to do about the Ziglar one & am not familiar with his works. Another librarian may chime in.

The quote below is not real. Edmund Burke never said it. It seems Sydney Smith said it, and he used different wording. (Source below). Would it be an appropriate step to change the wording and attribution of the quote? Or should it just be deleted? Or, should we leave it up?
