Better quality images of the same cover from acceptable sources can be used as replacements.

Now that the import bot is overwriting previously correct book data with incorrect garbage from Amazon, it might be the cover once was correct but the book data has been changed since its creation. In those cases it would be wrong to replace the cover image, instead the correct book data should be restored.

Also, when replacing a cover, please use the the 'change comment' field when uploading the new image.
Ex: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6... clearly shows a cover from the Walter J. Black/ Classics Club edition (which exists in a different edition record) and not the International Collectors Club edition that this record is supposed to be about. Can a I just remove it as a librarian or is that something only staff can do?
Related question, if a photo is "accurate" but just bad, and I have access to a better image from an approved source, can I just the photo and replace with the better photo? The Librarian Manual makes it sound like I can only make an Alternative Cover Edition, but that would just create duplicate entries, one of which has a better photo.
