PtP Passport Pages (T7)

2. Tour Guide (Captain) - reserve a couple of posts in this thread tracking your team's book selection and completion. (Alternatively they could convert a chat comment to the tracking post/s.)
3. Name your team. Using this round's theme, come up with a fun name. Given we are an open/public group with no age limit, so please make sure any chosen name is smart, not smutty ;)
Please PM your name to Jane(PS) by 4 April
4. If you have a private profile, please 'friend' your team-mates. This is really important, because without this, your team-mates can't see your shelves to select a books under option 2. (It will also help with one of the categories in this round!)
5. Please post your book selections/completions in the format provided below. (This format is also posted in both the Q&A and Sign-Up threads.) We need to know the week that each book corresponds to, the page numbers, and how the book qualifies including links to lists/shelves (where applicable), etc. I can't stress this enough. When in doubt - link it*!
* don't link to your review in your completion post - reviews in your completion posts should be included in full in that post.
You don't want to start reading a book and then find it doesn't meet the requirements because some information (eg page count or theme link) was missing from your original post.
I will be monitoring this and your book will not be considered complete until I am satisfied that your selection and completion posts comply with the format rules of the challenge.
Remember - you can ONLY change your book selection in the week that the theme is called.
6. You MUST check in with your team each week, ideally once the theme is announced. Please let your team know if you expect to have spotty communication or are on holidays or having an operation, etc.
7. When you post the completion of your book, you must post a review; enough for us to know you have actually read the book. Please don't link to a review. You must post the review in this thread.
8. Re-reads are allowed but you can't read the same book twice within this challenge.
9. There is no prize for the winning team - bragging rights only :)
10. Each week, the theme will be announced in the Q&A/Announcement thread. The full list of themes announced during this round will be maintained in msg 1 of that thread.
The Rule on the Pass Option
* Each team can only have ONE member using their pass each week.
* Each member can only use that pass once each 5 weeks.
* This means that one or two team members (dependent upon the size of your team) will miss using a pass in each 5 week block.
* No-one can use the pass option in the last week of the challenge.
* In the final week Option 2 has altered and I will be allocating each team another team from which their book selection must be chosen :)

For selection post Option 1 you must have:
Week #
Bookcover/link
Page numbers
How the book qualifies - please note which qualifying bookshelf/list you are using or the tags that justifies that it works.
If the theme is based off the bookcover, post the cover. If there is a letter count in the title, publication date etc, please note these details.
For selection post Option 2 you must have:
Week #
Bookcover/link
Page numbers
Name of the team-member, their star rating, the date they read the book.
For selection post Option 3 you must have:
Week #
PASS
For the completion post you must have:
Week #
Bookcover/link
Rating (1-5)
Review
Please DO NOT CHAT in these selction/completion posts. It needs to be super clear.
If you 'waffle' about your decided book - please REPOST your selection once you decide. DO NOT go back and edit your waffling post.
IF YOU NEED TO CORRECT A POST FOR MISSING INFORMATION or because the didn't qualify etc, please REPOST this information in a NEW post. Its difficult to find older posts when going backwards in the threads.

I'm Kat. I live in the mountains of SoCal with my high school sweetie, we've been together forever. Our kids are all grown with families of their own, so it is just the two of us now. My hobbies are reading, spending time on GR and Disneyland. 😊 Since it takes me an hour or more to go anywhere, even the grocery store, audiobooks are my friends! And I get lots of listening time between the car and trying to stay pretty quiet because hubby works from home. (He doesn't do well with much distraction.)
I almost exclusively read romance and try to read a little of several sub-genres each month. I hope there is some overlap between our shelves because I seem to use Option 2 several times each round.

Is not my first timpe playng this team challenge (In the last round I lost the start of participation for this challenge, this thime I made it in timpe 😁)
Only thing I'm not good is with writing reviews. How English is not my basic language i'm sure i'm making spelling mistakes.
I like reading romance books (any type) but hopping for a happy end. I try to explore other genres but I can hardly find a book to catch my atention to finish it.
And I know is not something to say ... But I adore cats 😻

About the grup name.... At this hour I have no ideeas, but maybe i dream about some names and tell tomorrow 😸

Passport Pages

I tend to read anything really, sci-fi, fantasy, contemporary, mystery. I just like to avoid kiddies in my books if I can.
R~wka ... I also adore cats! They're much more compatible with my 12hr shifts.
I don't have any name ideas, but I like A Global Affair, Passport Pages, and The Romance Reader Guide to the Galaxy. My favourite non-romance books are The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and Around the World in 80 Days. So the last two name suggestions appeal to me!

Seems like Passport Pages is a common favorite. We will wait a little longer for the others to voice their thoughts though. 😊

If there is no more response, I will just tell her “Passport Pages”.

I work as an emergency services dispatcher (helicopters and trucks) less people than nursing which I much, much prefer. It's fun and I love 12hr shifts. I don't think I could go back to a regular 9-5 after working 12s for so long.

I’ve played PTP several times before. In fact, I think I was on your team on the previous round too, Kat! Sending friend requests to the new folks on the team for option 2.

If there is no more response, I will just tell her “Passport Pages”."
Sounds great!

I mean that sounds amazing but also sounds really stressful! I'll take babies being born on the other side of a telephone any day over being in the room.

I don't know... I helped a couple over the phone once and it was more stressful than being there! I was filling in for their regular midwife and was on my way when it became apparent that the baby was going to be born before I could get there. I was about to hit an area with no signal so I had to pull over to talk them through it. The whole thing was super stressful because I wasn't technically on call for this birth (or any at that time), but their regular midwife wasn't available. So I didn't have any rapport with them and they didn't know me. It all worked out well in the end though.

Thanks! And yay, you read an In Death book!! I can always fill in with one of those if I can't find anything else. I love Roarke and Eve!

Hello Everyone.
Sorry for the late check in. I am new at this but promise to get better at this. I am Dori and love reading. Happy Anniversary Aiswyra. Thanks for accepting my friend request R~wka and Aiswyra. Passport Pages is a cute name.

Thanks.

Wow, that is amazing. I bet that couple was so thankful to have you on the other side of the phone.

Thank you for being an Emergency Service Dispatcher. That is a highly stressful job.

Though honestly, I may just forget Dori because I will be seeing PurpleLadi. 🤷🏻♀️

I'm in Southern California - even if we are supposed to get up to 8" of snow by Saturday morning... So, I'm on Pacific time.
Aiswrya said she was in New Jersey.
