sure, also i think we need a book/bookish stuff folder

yes and we need a buddy reads folder too! So what i decided is that every folder will have ˚☽˚｡⋆. at the end (the umbrella and moon are the ebst aesthetic symbols i could find 😛)

We can make a folder called books and another called bookish stuff, books will stricktly discuss books and the other will have informal stuff like book boyfriends;

Or maybe we can make a folder Books (standlones) and Books (series) and bookish stuff. What do you think??

i would say "Books" and "bookish stuff", i don't think separate folder are required for standalones and series

Yes ok that's so much work

SO i have an idea, we should divide the work.
Let's see: our to do list rn is:
☑Make polls
☑Make the new book recommendations topic
☑Invite new members
☑Make up a newsletter

Our moderators group is still fairly new so we should take it slow. Tomorrow, i'll divide the tasks between us for more efficient work.
By the end of the week we'll try to complete the above listed tasks.

I don't like explicit books but I'm ok with gore
Book length around 300-400 pages is preferable and i tend to like books written by female authors though male authors are also fine!! I want it to be Cradles by Sub Urban vibes~

I personally think option 1 is better or should we do both? Now that i think about it, adding both is better

So since this book is about music and books too, we need a music recommendations folder template too, just like the one i made for book recommendations, can anyone do it?

Hi guys! Sorry I did not respond earlier my time zone is different and I just woke up <3

I have some ideas for polls… we could do a battle of the book tropes, battle of the book boyfriends, and just battle of different books

I can work on the music recommendations folder too if you would like?

Also, for music polls, I was thinking that each week we could choose a different artist, and then for that week we would do song battles from that artist. If that makes sense??

Are we going to do sotm and botm too? Bc that could be another poll idea for each month

I brainstormed some more ideas for polls (added my previous ideas here too):
* Battle of the books
* Battle of the authors
* Battle of the book tropes
* Battle of the book boyfriends
* Battle of the character dynamics
* Battle of the book characters (least voted characters get eliminated, keep on doing polls and eliminating characters until one character wins)
* Smash or pass (book character edition)
* Battle of the songs (each week choose a different artist for those songs - do a poll do choose artists)
* When do you usually read?
* What’s your favorite genre?
* What’s your favorite type of book (hardcover, paperback, etc.)

We'll do one thing at a time and first we'll do weekly polls

I'll assign duties to all mods today, around 2 hours later, and your duty is poll manager

How to make polls:
1. Choose an aesthetic picture
2. Make a flowchart-like diagram
3. write in the songs/books and we're done!
You can use any ideas for the polls!

So just to make sure I’ve got it right, we’ll be doing one poll a week (since you said weekly polls), I can choose whatever idea, and I’ll be in charge of making them? And that the way we’ll structure the polls are like (for example) book vs book and then we keep on eliminating books until one wins the entire thing?

yes that's correct but you can do one poll every two-days or three polls every week whatever you're comfortable with! You're the poll manager now. Just post a templete/draft of the poll here one day before posting.

If you're nervous, we can do like smaller polls first so that you know how to make polls. Like "Fantasy vs thriller" or "Taylor Swift vs Billie Ellish"
We'll start doing book events officially by 1 May and you can start posting polls then too.

I’ll start by doing a couple of smaller ones, like maybe 3 or 4, then once I get the hang of it I’ll make the bigger polls
