This month's Group Read has no theme, anything goes.
Nominate the scariest book you can think of to kick off the warm weather ahead (or cool weather if you're down under). Aliens, monsters, vampires, things that go bump in the basement - let's see if we can scare up something hair-raising.

Please do not nominate books that we have read as a group before and no author self promotion.

Recent group reads can be found here:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Nominations with +1s have a greater chance of making the poll.

Ok, I admit I was thinking of calling this month's read "scare the pants off of you" but... I had this nightmare of horror porn being nominated. LOL
So behave yourself and have a good time anyway.

message 24: by Barry (new)

Barry (barrydwriter) | 13 comments T.E.D. Klein - Dark Gods. Four absolutely terrifying novellas, and the opening killer, “Children of the Kingdom,” takes place during a certain very hot summer in 1970s NYC…

message 25: by Jim (new)

Jim | 100 comments Blindness by José Saramago. This novel really creeped me out. (Saramago won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1998).

Also, Birdbox by Michael Louis Calvillo -- which in some ways, is the opposite of the above book.

I was surprised neither book had been nominated, not since 2017 at least.

Nope. It was a previous group read.

Before nominating, you can always check the previous group reads thread listed in the FIRST POST and here again - they are listed chronologically in the the first post, alphabetically in the second.

This was a group read in December so it's not eligible. The previous reads list has been updated to reflect this.
