It kind of a funny story by Ned Vizzini. I’m sorry but the only reason why i finished it was becase it was for an assignment. I haven’t read many books that I’ve disliked but I did not enjoy that book

100 readers, 101 tastes :-) . Some of the books here are among my top, say, 100.

I couldn't get through James Joyce, neither Finnegans Wake nor Ulysses (I didn't try anything else). Perhaps I will revisit the latter, but won't bother with the former. It feels like an author's practical joke on readers. Or I am just dense.

Powerless and Powerful.
I don't know if they were the worst, but definitely my least favourite so far this year. It was too "tropey", the characters and world-building just fell flat for me. Maybe I might have enjoyed this book as a teenager?

The worst book I have read so far this year was Fire Weather. It is account of the fire that devastated Fort MacMurry in Canada. The author romanticizes fire as being a living entity. This kind of crap is something the fire service has been trying to dispel for over 30 years. The notion belongs in the poorly written fiction genre.

The Atlas Six (DNF'd) and These Hollow Vows (struggled but made it through)... both of them were awful in my opinion

Ask for Andrea. This book really disappointed me to the point that I'm scared to actually pick up a book from the author!!!

I had a really hard time getting through The Secret History by Donna Tartt. I also remember reading about 4 pages of a book called The Island by C L Taylor and just nopeing out. I also really didn't enjoy We Solve Murders by Richard Osman, which I was really disappointed by because Osman is one of my favourite authors. Also the Serpent & Dove trilogy was just the worst.

This was an Amazon First Reads selection. Not at all what I expected.

I don’t really hate books (even if I rate them low or dnf them) but Verity by Colleen Hoover is as close as it gets.

Next to Heaven by James Frey. I couldn't even finish the book. Zero quotations used, the style is repetitive and boring, and lots of characters that are all over the place. Could not stand it.
