I sometimes think people are looking at the letters and thinking that they're much easier to find book for than they actually are.

I'm afraid we're going to end up reading some books we don't really want to, even with our friendly relationship with The Capitol.

However, if we get stuck with LUB, I've got us covered, so to speak.

The Capitol has decided to go with Sky Without Stars. I do apologize as we didn't realize it is the same letters as your first book. But maybe that means you have lots of options already identified?

So, we're back to the tricky ARS.

As before, I can read Ars Historica, giving the ICA (which they rejected before)
OR
Oe can take one for the team and read Arse Over Irish Teacup: A Cozy Grumpy Sunshine Irish Romance, giving them CUP.

CUP offers up at least a few options: cup, cupboard, cupcake, Cupid.

If anyone one else would like to read this grumpy/sunshine romance, go for it! Or I'll do it.

Otherwise, we need to look at the wide range of coay mysteries that begin with Arsenic....

We have a week to read our Battle books.

Of course, I keep thinking I’m saving myself for when we end up with something truly difficult- or just awful.

All Battle Books need to be started and finished in week 2.

I’ll send over Arse Over Teacup and if Donna wants to read it (and can get a copy) it’s hers. If not, Dale can take it. This is just in an effort to spread the love since Donna just has one and Dale has 2 for the battle.

Now we wait… I’m having a Monday, but will try to pop in a few times during work in case we get the next one and y’all have something great figured out.

Helloooooo District 2! The Capitol has a couple of books we're deciding between, but that won't affect you as they are Cupcakes for Christmas and Cupcakes & Christmas. I'll get something added to the spreadsheet while we're still deciding.

I probably won’t claim a second book for the battles unless it’s something really short. We have our Board of Directors in Mon-Wed next week for the first time in person since 2020. So it will be borderline chaos and dinners for 3 days and will impact my reading a weee bit!

They've already got a lists for ICE and ALL, I think.
As for INN, there are quite a few books along the lines of The Inn, Innkeeping, etc. , as well as IN Need, and INNocent.

I looked for something as well for MAS and was not able to find anything I could get from my library. I considered looking into Massacre but too dark isn't my favorite.
I am willing to read one more book for this battle as long as I can get a copy from my library or on Libby/Hoopla.

Libby, hoopla, my library, KU, or already on my kindle or shelves - I'm trying to spend less on books!

Do we want to offer Master of Djinn or Mask of the Heart? Or are one of you super excited about your pick.

I looked at Master of Djinn (it’s on my TBR) but it’s too long for me to commit to next week. But I still really want to read it 😂
