Odessa Savage | 7 comments I've got a Dark Thriller/Suspense Romance that I've self-published. It is a series, and I do have three other novels already written for it, but only one published right now as I haven't edited the others. Excerpt and details below:

"With a hesitant hand, I reached for the lid, the sound of my breath hitching in my throat the only noise in the oppressive silence. The lid came away with a soft creak, revealing the grotesque contents within. My stomach churned as I took in the sight of a human heart, meticulously preserved and displayed like a perverse piece of art. It was nestled on a bed of black velvet, the organ's once-vibrant red now a dull maroon, veins and arteries splayed out in a sickening display of Ryker's twisted affection." - Chapter 18, snippet

Synopsis:
Fennec Starling is your average struggling artist, juggling her mundane life between tattooing and commissions. But when a mysterious and fabulously wealthy patron named Ryker Wolfe commissions her for a special logo design, Fennec finds herself drawn into his dangerous, seductive orbit. From their first intense meeting, she can sense Ryker's predatory nature lurking beneath his polished exterior.

As Fennec becomes obsessed with holding onto her own humanity, Ryker begins insinuating himself into her life through unsettling gestures and a campaign of psychological manipulation. Fennec tries to resist her growing fascination, but she is inexorably lured in by Ryker's intoxicating power and primal magnetism.

Before long, the lines between art and reality become blurred as Ryker's twisted desires escalate. Fennec realizes too late that she has become the prey in his sinister game of stalking, abduction, and forced seduction. Trapped in his luxurious lair, she is subjected to Ryker's most depraved appetites through acts of dubious consent, assault, and mind-games that threaten to break her completely.

In this intense, suspenseful page-turner, Fennec must decide whether to fully surrender to the intoxicating, primal depths of Ryker's dark cravings or find a way to escape his ruthless, consuming obsession before it destroys her.

Chapters: 40 + Epilogue (15 available on BetaReader)
POV: First person, dual
Formatted?: Yes
Manuscript File Versions: ePUB, PDF, MOBI
Trigger Warnings: This book contains scenes of dubious consent, stalking, kidnapping, sexual assault, violence, manipulation, and several others. Reader discretion is advised. Trigger warning page included.

I have a Dark Romantasy on BetaReader as well, but the end chapters aren't fully edited. If you still want to check it out, the first 20 chapters are available. You can contact me at any time of day at my email if you have questions or want a full manuscript of either novel :)

Katrina Thorpe (katrinathorpeauthor) | 14 comments Hey Ditri,

I’m not sure if this will interest you or not, but I’m looking for ARC readers for Wings of Death, Book one in my Kingdom of Angels series. This is a slow burn Urban Fantasy/Romantasy, available for review on BookSprout.

A war in the heavens could be hell on Earth…

From the moment I turned eighteen and became a guardian angel, I was thrown into a world of chaos. Now I'm bonded to a gorgeous human named Kyle who just may be my downfall...because Kyle isn't just any human. He has a secret. One that could get us both killed.

And to make matters worse, he can't remember what it is.

When the most powerful angels from the Kingdom of Galespo descend to Earth—with the winged enforcers' hellbent on destroying my human charge and my Kingdom of Silanthia—I'll need to help Kyle regain his memories, uncover dark secrets, and bring the truth to light to save them...a venture that just might cost me more than my wings.

War is on the horizon and fates hang in the balance, but one wrong move will bring Kyle and my Kingdom down with me.

Madison Sheldon | 26 comments Hi Driti,
I'm a new author looking for ARC readers. My book is a Romantic Suspense Novel of Love, Secrets, and Self-Discovery.

Here's the description:

But when long-forgotten memories resurface, her idyllic world shatters around her. Torn between her present reality and haunting remnants of a past she can't recall, Emily faces heart-wrenching choices that will redefine her entire world.

As she grapples with these life-altering revelations, Emily must confront her deepest fears and find the strength to rediscover her true self. However, an unexpected danger emerges from the shadows, threatening to plunge her into darkness and destroy everything she holds dear.

This emotionally charged love story infused with suspense that will keep you turning pages late into the night. If you're in the mood for a steamy contemporary romance, check out my ARC registration and details here!

One look, and I hate my new boss. Except my body never got the memo.

We clashed from day one.

He treats me like a know-nothing, small-town girl, but I’m determined to prove myself. So when he asks me to manage a big conference in the mountains, I seize the chance to impress.

On the drive up there, our forced conversation turns to light banter, and I discover a different Ethan. A playful spark in the eye. A childish grin. Who is this man?

A storm forces us to find refuge in a sleazy motel, and the blizzard ignites something between us. Now my panties are on the floor.

When has sleeping with the boss ever been a good idea?
Not to mention developing feelings for him!

I cannot lose this job and go back to Hick Town.

Which is exactly what I’m thinking the night he takes me on his desk.
And his assistant walks in on us…

Jeffer Nightwind | 32 comments Greetings Driti,

I recently released my first book in the Bane War series, https://www.amazon.com/Fury-Bane-War-...

Series theme is Heaven's angels, technological beings, waging eternal war against Navia's demons, magical beings. 5000 years ago they signed a peace treaty, but now wage war through proxies. Yava is the latest battleground.

Saffa is this book's protagonist, a sassy battlemage wielding a longsword while casting fire and ice magic.

The book takes inspiration from Slavic mythology and Ukraine's fight for freedom.

I had 3 women beta read and they gave mostly positive feedback, but now I'm trying to get more eyes and brains on the story. I'm eager to improve the dark fantasy and romance pieces, as I have at least six more books planned.

Genre is DESR (dark epic science romantasy). Content rating is MA.

If you are interested in reading, let me know via message or email to [email protected], and I can get you a hardback, paperback, or .epub copy, whatever you want.

Everly’s life is exactly as it should be, until her estranged sister comes back to town the same day Asim Jabbar knocks on her door, nearly knocking Everly off her slipper-clad feet and her anxious heart right out of her chest.

After the flirtiest plant delivery of her life, Everly tries to find her Hot Delivery Guy without becoming a stalker, then digs herself into a hole when she enlists his help re-landscaping her yard. An already immaculate yard that does not need any new plants.

Asim agrees, on one condition: that Everly get her perfectly manicured hands dirty and join him. Despite Asim turning her life upside down, Everly can't stop thinking about the muscular, tattooed plant dad.

But when Asim’s world collapses and past scars threaten their future, Everly doesn’t realize all that Asim has sacrificed for her until it’s too late.

Two Novellas

Two life-affirming stories of ordinary people in extraordinary situations.

The Golden Flyswatter takes us to a retro dive bar in Santa Monica, California, where young Natalie Schoenfeldt, an ingenue from Wisconsin, gets a job cocktailing. She soon realizes that the patrons are not who they seem, and Hollywood opportunities may not be either.

The Walk of Washington takes us to present-day Philadelphia, where a young filmmaker is playing piano to pay the rent. When he meets an older gentleman who looks a lot like Benjamin Franklin, the most excellent adventure of his young adult life begins.

EVEN GODS DIE.

The city of Bridunum is besieged.

Saorlach the demigod leads an army of thousands to its walls, eager to pillage and kill. Covered from head to toe in tattooed runes, he bears the blessing of the gods themselves. No weapon can pierce his skin.

One by one, Saorlach challenges the champions of Bridunum, taunting and killing them at will. Heroes fall. Morale weakens. Saorlach’s victory is imminent.

Only one man can stand against him.

Athewain, a lowly shepherd of Logren’s countryside, longs for a life of heroic adventure. When Saorlach’s warriors slaughter his village, he sets out on a quest for vengeance, assisted by an ancient, long-forgotten god known only as the Maker.

Now, Athewain must wield the power of this unknown deity to defeat his divinely-protected enemy and thwart his bloody dreams of conquest.

But there are enemies within Bridunum as well as without. And the gods, once angered, do not forgive.

If Athewain fails, his dream of justice dies with him. And all of Logren will fall to ruin.

Son of the Thunder Goddess is an epic fantasy novella inspired by the myth and history of Celtic, Iron-Age Britain. It features feuding gods, immersive worldbuilding, and epic, visceral battles.
