I read this book between 2013 and 2017 -- it was an oversized graphic novel, very long horizontally, with images generated through computer 3D graphics tools. It was science-fiction, and had the typical "sword and planet" concept of "it's a fantastical land with different humanoid species and a human outsider must rise as a warrior in their society, with the added twist that this is Another Planet In Our Universe". Unlike Barsoom, however, the human outsider came from a heavily technologized far-future society rather than Earth when it was written.
Other details: - The sci-fi society had breeding permits (yes, I remembered this in the first place because my friends are getting into Helldivers). - The most "human" inhabitants of the planet had Celtic names -- the Beautiful Warrior Princess was named Aodh. - There was an android character who baffled and confused the planet's inhabitants. - There was a rising dark lord with mind-control magic? - There was a society of orclike beings who lived in the jungle treetops -- very "misunderstood noble savages". - A lot of the riding animals looked like prehistoric Earth fauna?
