I used to down mystery thrillers like Tracy Clark's Hide like candy, but now I find I need a sedative when reading. This first of the Harriet Foster series is definitely not a cozy, but rather a police procedural with a fair share of gore and guts (I mean that literally)
Harri Foster is a police detective returning from a leave of absence and reassigned to a new division. The first day back she ends up with a difficult murder case.
I appreciate Tracy Clark's writing style, her characterizations and the red herrings she throws the readers way.
I will most likely continue with this series but make sure I have the fortitude necessary before beginning the next of, Fall.
