These are a few of my romantasy favorites

A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness (vampires, witches, demons)

Married to Magic series by Elisa Kova (5 standalone with unique magical systems)

The Winter King by C.L.Wilson (probably closest to ACOTAR)

A Fate Inked in Blood by Danielle Jensen (only one book is out so far)

THE RAVEN CYCLE SERIES BY MAGGIE STIEFVATER!! Okay maybe not "underrated" but I never hear enough people talk about it!
It is definitely not high fantasy by any means but has a lot of fantasy conventions and themes whilst also being really beautifully written, the characters are also great - they're really funny books.
Recommend this series to literally everyone lol.
