Hi everyone! My name is Jessica, I'm 14 and I will be attending BEA (not BookCon) in May! I've been blogging over at www.bookishserendipity.com for 2 years. :-) I am so excited to go in May and I would love some advice, especially for attending BEA as a teen.

My biggest advice would be pour over BEA prep and recap posts to prepare. And feel free to ask specific questions here or you can DM me. :)

Hey Sam, welcome to the cultgroup!

What Hannah said - we've all been pretty thorough. Oh! But make buddies! Line buddies (for the morning), signing buddies (for the floor itself), running around NYC buddies (to see the sights, or check out some bookish places like Books of Wonder or The Strand or the New York Public Library or just find places of yummy goodness to eat).

Are you traveling with others (your parents or older siblings or friends)? And please feel free to DM myself as well. Happy to help!!

Hi Lexie! Ha, I'll get on that! I already know a few people attending BEA, but I hadn't thought of the buddy system. I'll probably end up DMing you at some point, so thank you! :-)

Oh trust me Samantha all the buddies help - it not only makes the wait times go by quicker, but also means you'll be exposed to authors you may not know or super sekrit book drops...or where to get the best cupcakes...or tea...or cupcakes and tea...

Hi Sam! I went last year for the first time and will be going again this year. My advice is to not stress. You will NOT be able to get everything you want so remember that up front. And don't be pushy in lines. That is a majorly important thing to remember. And just have fun. It's great being able to spend time with book nerds that like to nerd out over books at any give moment. Hope you have a blast. :-)

Great advice! I am so excited to meet other book nerds. I've read complaints about pushy people in a few BEA recaps, so I definitely want to about that. Thanks again!
