Mark Uretsky | 1 comments I have just finished “The Inner Voice of Trading” and I love it.

A topic not discussed online especially! but I think this is the difference between good and bad trading.

You’re in a losing position you keep telling to yourself to average down? Or you collect the courage to cut it. Etc.

The Inner Voice of Trading: Eliminate the Noise, and Profit from the Strategies That Are Right for You

Jack Patrick | 1 comments I’m currently reading “the fund” by Rob Copland, it’s given me a new perspective on how funds operate and the internal drama surrounding them. funny enough this was recommended to me by my father, who worked at Iridian (a second fund also in CT that was lesser know but still good). I would definitely say that you should give it a go when you have time.

Jhonny Efrain | 1 comments Are you happy inside Plato's cave that you won't understand what I'm writing here? Well, I'm not particularly reading about trading, it's about 'religion' 'spirituality.' I'm reading the letters of the Apostle Paul and Luke's 'the book of Acts written by Luke.' I'm accompanying the reading of Luke's book of Acts with a 4500-page commentary written by a New Testament scholar and expert in ancient Greco-Roman writings. It's amazing and wonderful to read through the book of Acts, the story of the emergence of the Christian community, to read about the events that Luke describes is wonderful, that encounter between the human and the divine back in the 1st century that resulted in what we now know as Christianity is surprising. Do you know anything about the Holy Spirit?

Some low hanging fruit for memory skills in this readable book. Building a memory Palace is super easy, helpful and fun.

Precog K Newman | 4 comments Also am interested in connecting with people over "Atomic Habits" Super nutrient dense. One of the best peak performance books I have come across. They mention all these ways to improve habits and then Habit stacking to gain exponential value. This lead me to create my own spin which I call "Confluence Of Epiphanies" which is basically stacking epiphanies. Have made major breakthroughs by doing this.

Nick | 1 comments Trading in the zone. Have read it since started trading in 2018 & I continue to refer back to it. Really helps me trade from a confident, disciplined, and consistent state of mind to this day. Through repetition our perception of life changes & it changes dramatically. Lukas talks about he went back & forgot most the content. That's because when you're reading / listening you pay attention to a line you really like & your mind takes off so then the other lines you're not even paying attention to. You went on a thought trip. Then you come back & guess what you do the SAME THING again. When you read again you don't see something that wasn't there. You see something IN YOURSELF that wasn't there before.

A line I like from the book:
The goal of any trader is to turn profits on a regular basis, yet so few people ever really make consistent money as traders. What accounts for the small percentage of traders who are consistently successful? To me, the determining factor is psychological—the consistent winners think differently from everyone else.

100%. You just need to compare how you started off vs now if you've been at it for years. I just relate to when I was on robinhood now trading with cobra trading & etrade. That's what those Robinhood traders are not aware of.

That's all for now guys. Peace

- Trader Vic - Methods of a Wallstreet Master
- The Talent Code
- Trading & Exchanges - Larry Harris

Trader Vic was an awesome insight into a legendary trader - the wealth of knowledge, especially on the emotional and mental side, was very illuminating.

The Talent Code, an awesome read that gives a biological underpinning for the development of skill and three essential ingredients for improvement - great read, but Atomic Habits trumps all in the self-development category imo.

Trading & Exchanges, this is the driest book I've ever read, but I learnt more about the trading environment through it than anything else I've ever read - would recommend to those who take trading very seriously.

Thank you! Interesting point about what our reading real time mind connects to thus what it omits.
Going to add that to my list of reading strategies & insights. Thx again
