Also, doesn't throne of glass contain smut? I don't really want that as I'm recommending books to one of my friend who is not comfortable with smut.

Fantasy - The Adventures of Amina al-Sarafi . It was so good! Dystopian - Literally anything by Blake Crouch, but specifically Dark Matter, Recursion, and Upgrade. So good!

Dystopian—the darkest minds (only some kissing), anything by Neal Shusterman (Unwind and Scythe are my favs by him), Divergent, The chaos walking series, and Maximum Ride series

the shatter me series is both dystopian and fantasy, so that is a good pick (personally, i didn’t really like them, but that’s just my opinion) and if not the hunger games and the maze runner are classic dystopian series !!
