hopeless romantic society discussion

So I currently have two books that I started but I just can’t get into them. So I was thinking about dnfing them. But I’m only on page sixty or seventy on them. Is that too early to dnf a book?

I always say they have 100 pages to hook you, honestly maybe those books just ain’t it and maybe retry later I feel like that’s a fairly reasonable place to say it ain’t it

when it feels exhausting/emotionally tiring everytime you read it, when you don’t care where the story goes whatsoever, when there is not a single thing that hooks you, and when you just don’t feel entertained.

usually just whenever i feel myself unable to pick the book back up because it’s so boring and i can feel it putting me into a slump

i rarely dnf a book, but when i just got tired from picking them up, i know it's not for me. i always say reading is for fun, and don't waste your time on a book you just want to get trough because it's that bad.
