Finished this one last night. Happily, Bran was back for the finale, as one of the "Six." I really enjoyed his story arc. I also enjoyed John Rowland's part in this story.

(view spoiler)[I was surprised at who turned out to be an agent of the Dark in this book, even though I had read it before. It was so long ago that I remember the occasional scene vividly, but not the whole story. Unfortunately, that may be because I was pretty disappointed with the ending. The only evil left is in men's hearts? I'd say that's more than enough to destroy us if we let it. And I wish it was clearer what would happen to Will. I guess it would have been disturbing in a children's book for him to leave with the other Old Ones since he would have been leaving behind his family, but I'm not sure what his role is now, to have this knowledge but nothing further needing to be done with it. I've just finished this one. It was good and am also glad that Bran stayed where he belongs!
It was good, but not as good as the middle three books in the series.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm still trailing along but am excited to see what happens at the end.

The ending is exciting!
