I know it's one of his less "scary" ones, but can I nominate Dolores Claiborne?

But...+1 Cell

havent read duma key or misery which seem like the top contenders. from the summaries they seem to have similar themes or maybe just a similar vibe, but haven't heard much about duma key so would love to check this one out!

I personally think most of the books in the series are among King's best writing."
100%, I've read this series 3 times and still can't get enough. Currently reading the graphic novels.

being nominated because I haven’t read much King, but really want to.
I’m interested in these & don’t see them listed so I’ll add: Night Shift (Children of the Corn is in this…Yes, can’t wait to read it one day Lol)
Different Seasons

+1 the institute (it was one of my favorites, very intense)

+1 The Long Walk

I absolutely love the Dark Tower Series. It is mind blowing.

Also not sure if it counts because it was co-authored but “The Talisman”.
Both fall into dark fantasy/horror

+1 The Talisman (read it as a teen, loved it, would love the excuse to reread as an adult)

Its a novella so I don't know if that matters or if it's only me that wants to read it anyways lol
