Hi team!

Please decide on a team name & captains/persons who will assist members who need spreadsheet help

Any ideas on a team name?

Maybe a water Pokemon or creature? Squirtle?

I'm spreadsheet stupid so I'm not going to be very helpful to people needing help. I also post mostly from my phone which makes the SS wonky sometimes. However I'm a great backseat driver so I could "assist" a captain if they'd like me to. The idea of actually taking on the captain roll gives me anxiety.

Team Nessie? Or Loch Ness?

I'm trying to come up with team names but all my brain can do is repeat "Sploosh sploosh sploosh" because it thinks that's the sound a water balloon makes on impact. With that in mind... please don't throw anything at me...

I've not added any of my books this last week. We're working on moving mom and dad and my sister and her kids and it's a chore and a half! 2 households. Dad's a hoarder and hasn't purged anything in 50 years. It isn't going well. Hopefully I can carve some time to add my books.

Well done team! We seem to be throwing some good balloons.

I'm going to try and get on a computer tonight and get caught up on posting my books to the SS. I've been reading just not transferring them. Coincidentally one of my recent books had a water balloon fight in it.

How are we going peeps? I'm struggling emotionally with life at the moment, so I'm finding reading good escapism. 😔

I will be finishing my one book today and starting another that has water on the cover.

Very busy here as is always the problem the first week of each month.

Well, I managed to get all my books onto the SS minus 2 that I couldn't verify had fight in them. I'll try to be better at adding as I go but sometimes the SS gets wonky on my phone. I'm sure it's just user error but frustrating, nonetheless.

That's fair. I couldn't imagine trying to do it on my phone. I just add to GR when I'm at home on my laptop.

Christina, you can add those two books - they don't have to fit one of the book tasks; they are just for additional points. You can still use it to toss a water balloon and add any of the other challenges you've used them for.

Or I can add the books from your Read shelf (or a post here). Just let me know if you want me to do that for you any time!!

If you want, you can just add the books to the book check-in, & someone else in the group will put them in the spreadsheet.

I honestly thought they had to fit to get to throw a water balloon. I did the same thing when we were throwing snowballs! Wonder how many missed opportunities I had back then. I'll go ahead and add them now. Thanks!

I'll try to remember that book posting thread in the future. I may have overextended myself when it comes to challenges...but they're so fuuuuuuuun! I'm struggling to remember which game/challenge needs what from me at any particular time. I'm sure I'm not the only person who does this, right?

HA! I am certainly in that same boat with you!!

I have a notebook just for GR challenges that I write in for the main challenges I do.

I made a personal private group on goodreads and just have a thread with links to all my challenges/any spreadsheets used for challenges and then when I finish a book I just open every single link and plug in where it fits

Same here. But it's not private; it's my Challenge Tracker for 2024. And I remove the links & add a checkbox to the challenge, so I know which ones are complete. I add the entry there, then copy over to the specific challenge.

I do that with every challenge across all my GR challenges, which is why my tracker currently has 146 posts.

I guess I am just old school :)
