2024 WBW: Sinker, Sailor, Soaker Spy
Hi, everyone! Just wanted to say hi before I hit the hay. I’m up way too late 😁
Will be back tomorrow to see what the spreadsheet looks like and whatnot!

Team,
Jazzy is uncomfortable with spreadsheets. Would someone on the team be willing to help get books entered into the spreadsheet for Jazzy?

The challenge officially started yesterday. I had some issues causing me to post late. You may use any books that you read on the 15th.

Yes, I think a daily list would make it easier. Like what you've posted above.

I added a book check-in (message 1) for Jazzy and those who have issues with the spreadsheet. You will need someone to watch this thread...

The check-in thread is in message 1. You will need more info than that. There are bonuses that I included on the check-in page (they were in the spreadsheet).

Oppenheimer's Water Bombs
We Sank Your Battleship
Wow. Good job already, Jazzy!
I haven’t finished anything yet lol. I’ve been bogged down with a horrible case of allergy-induced laryngitis and I’m so exhausted. I started a book last night, so we shall see if I can finish it soon.
I’ve taken an antihistamine so I’ll be lucky if I’m not conked out napping instead 😂

Oh, playing on the Sinker Sailor suggestion from Jazzy, how about Sinker Sailor Soaker Spy?
Thanks for the well-wishes, Jazzy! Right back atcha! That sucks you hurt your hand and missed the performance.

Yes! I actually meant to write Soaker, so that's great. I just finished Tinker Tailor. (again)
I’ve never read it, but it’s one I’ve thought about reading sometime! Thanks for the recommendation.

You can read anything you want as long as it meets the standard rules.

you mean the regular rules of 100 pp etc? and no manga or cookbooks?
Yes, what you saw discussed in the other thread was the bonus points. Those are just for fun. You DO NOT have to do those. They are extra points. If your books fits those, you get extra points. That's it. If it doesn't, no big deal.
You do need to choose a target from the other team for EVERY book. If your "Water balloon" hits them, I need to award points. A power hit will give you points, but it also takes points from them. So I need this information.
Here's the breakdown:
1 point per HOB challenge your book is used in
1 point if you read a book with water on the cover
2 points with the word FIGHT in the text
3 points with Author's initials in HIT or MISS
4 points with letters BALLOONS in title/series (any order)
5 points if you read a book with water fight or water play in the story
You can pick a person from the team list on the signup page

LOL! You can still choose your own team name. I was responding to Jazzy complaining about being called team 2.
