Goodreads Librarians Group discussion

I found these editions of "The Hunger Games" series that seem to be similar to the level reader editions by Penguin. I read in the group that these are adaptations and should not be combined. Can someone who speaks Russian please confirm this? There appear to be different editions of these books; are they the same? Here are the links to the publisher's site:

Yes, they are all adaptations, Level 4-5. I was told that the first author should be the adapter/editor. But publisher site doesn't have this information. I think the author is "Lingua" or "Редакция Lingua". Lingua is imprint of AST.

They are the same books, as in you post. Different levels. I don't know if they should be combined with each other or not. They are exactly the same as the Penguin editions.

I don't think we can add an imprint as the editor from what I've read in this group. So I don't know what we can do in this case if the adapter isn't known. Since Suzanne is listed as primary these books will likely get incorrectly combined with the full work.

I read Rivka comments that publisher can be the author if the author is unknow. Not recommended, but possible. I use this in coloring books, puzzle books, music book, etc. They have on copyright page: created by publisher's staff.

Here I see copyright pages. It's said author is Suzanne Collins + author of comments and dictionary is... different Russian names.
Do you want me to write the names here or edit these books in the database?

I know that exception, but in this case, one of the authors is known (Suzanne Collins).

are bilingual books. Full text + translation. Hunger Games.

The rest are adaptations by О.Н. Прокофьева. Corrected them. It seems this Adapter already has profile on GR. Other librarians also moved adaptations there. Combined them (Not sure if it's correct)

I have one more question about authors:
О.Н. Прокофьева (Adapter) + Suzanne Collins + Сьюзен Коллинз (russian name)
or
О.Н. Прокофьева (Adapter) + Сьюзен Коллинз

It's not in the manual. Rules about English version only for the first author.

I'm not sure if combining is correct either. This one seems right: О.Н. Прокофьева (Adapter) + Suzanne Collins + Сьюзен Коллинз (russian name). So everything looks good. Thanks again!
