Simone | 7 comments I'm reading her other series and it just feels kinda meh? To me, her writing is quite shallow if you know what I mean, and as for this other series, the pacingis a bit off. But she has some big fans so what do I know ‍‍

message 4: by Kashfa (new)

Kashfa (kashfaarman) | 193 comments its good. sweeet adorable moments. the end might make you want to throw the book away but the series is worth it. its was a 4 star read for me.

Rorro (rochio) | 125 comments i personally love the caraval series, i really liked the concept and how she described the setting (i had no problem imagining it, even though some people find it hard to picture).
The vibes in this book are immaculate, and i really loved the bits of romance between the 2 main characters!

✨sofia✨ | 668 comments I’ve only read the first one and it was kinda meh. It wasn’t bad, and the world was amazing, but it wasn’t an amazing book that I would reread over and over. You should try it, though!

maja | 319 comments i love the caraval series

Maia | 428 comments only read the first one it was alright but i was so confused the entire time so idk how much i want to read the others in the series especially because they’re about this one girl i don’t really like

tella? legendary is from her pov but you'll like her better when it's from her pov (can't explain it but i HATED her until i started legendary, and now she's one of my favs), and finale is a dual pov (scarlet and tella)

littlefox (not as active) | 154 comments i love this trilogy, it's one of my favs! i've seen a lot of ppl say that it's too confusing (which i don't particularly agree with but to each their own) but i love the characters, the romance, and the world-building, and the plot is so so fun. i loved how the first book was such a roller coaster of emotions and action. i hope you give it a chance! ultimately you're going to find a lot of ppl who didn't care for it and a lot of ppl who loved it but you can really only know if you'll like it once you try it

books_by_bugs | 84 comments Personally I loved Caraval! Legendary was a little bit hard to read because I didn’t relate to Tella as much as I did Scarlett, but it was still interesting and fun to read! I love the world building and the romance in it! Each of them got 5 stars.

message 12: by Arabella (new)

Arabella | 25 comments I loved it!
It certainly stands out from other books I've read. Initially, I found it challenging to engage with the story, but the endings of Caraval and Legendary left me eager to discover more. I love that it follows both sister's love stories. Also fun as everything starts making sense the deeper you go in the book. 📚❤️ Recommend!

for me it's kinda mid. everybody loves the first book (and the couple: Scarlet and Julian) but they were too boring for me. it's nothing like shatter me. there are many people who love once upon a broken heart, but they're a different fandom. most of them didn't even read caraval. if you're into the dystopian type of genre i would recommend the divergent, and maze runner. also, the hunger games is a must!! i think most people who liked shatter me, also liked the cruel prince triology.

i can guarantee that most people who read and loved ouabh read caraval first. i always say it's necessary to read caraval first bc that way you get background on jacks, the setting, and even a little background on eva bc she's mentioned in the 3rd book. most people, unless they tried caraval and didn't like it or didn't know ouabh was a caraval spinoff, read caraval first to get that background before ouabh (esp bc it makes some plotlines all the more painful :D)

Eli (taylor's version) | 88 comments I am also a shatter me fan and even though it’s not the same type of book I will recommend you once upon a broken heart by the same author of Caraval If you and I share the same taste in books ( I think we do ) you are going to love it.

I also read shatter me and then once upon a broken heart

Molly | 190 comments I really have enjoyed it so far! I’ve only read the first two books tho

patty ✿⁷ (simpattyco) | 22 comments i haven’t read it but just wanna say you should definitely read it before the once upon a broken heart series if you plan on reading that bc i didn’t know they take place in the same universe and without spoiling anything, i’ll just say i can’t bring myself to read caraval at all knowing what i know now 😭

message 20: by Mpia (new)

Mpia | 64 comments I have read the whole trilogy and I liked it. I didn't hate but I also didn't love it. I found it quite boring and a bit too dramatic at times. I couldn't understand the motives of the characters behind some stupid decisions.

fifi🗽🌃 | 63 comments I genuinely didnt enjoy it

message 22: by liv (new)

liv (1340340_enthusiast) | 17 comments yes!! definitely give it a go!! i loved it, and preferred it to OUABH, the romance is very cute as well!

message 23: by brooke (new)

brooke | 6 comments i didn't enjoy the plot on the whole series. i really only read it because people recommended that it would be better to read the whole caravel series before the ouabh trilogy. i accident spoiled who legend was aswell because i didn't know it was supposed to be secret but that's on me and i think i would have enjoyed it more if i didn't know who they where

message 24: by susu :) (new)

susu :) | 2 comments I personally loved it! A lot of people have mixed opinions on it but honestly I enjoyed it very much, the characters and concept was very interesting but I can understand that it was quite underwhelming for people who read ouabh first..

Douaaa🇵🇸✨ | 179 comments Honestly i found caraval to be sooo overrated (my friend thought the same), i only kept reading bcz i wanted to read ouabh baadlyy and i heard that you dont like the main character much if u havent read caraval, i give it 6/10

message 26: by *ೃ༄alex (new)
