So many thoughts!!!

The Irish magician again -- hmmm

Another big deal about new supplies at the start of Chapter 27. And Collins is right there, so nonchalant about nothing happening in their investigation. He asks questions to get information from Jon and then diverts Jon away from the seriousness. hmmm Doesn't add up for an FBI agent, does it?

Nothing was found on Amante. Was it because he took the goods to the kitchen or "new supplies" closet ?

Ricardo sure acted weird with the 'intruder' in hallway.

What's y'all's guess about the issues with Lacey's Dad? Does he not work, or does he gamble all their money away, or mooch off of the money Lacey makes?

Oh, and I love how Jon and Lacey have been able to outwit the Shippers about their dating. I have a feeling that won't last long tho.'

Cathryn | 27 comments So many suspects! I am thinking Ricardo’s boss, but it seems the culprit is not out in front, you know. That musician is going up my suspect list.

BTW, I emailed the author to tell her I am liking her book and she replied there is going to be a sequel called Hearts Away. :)

noooooo way, Cathryn, a sequel??? Yipeee

Bethany Meadows | 28 comments Ooooo a sequel!!!!! I am so excited!!!

Her Dad is giving off “deadbeat” vibes…I dunno. Just weird. Almost sense that he’s running her mom ragged. I also wondered if he was a gambler.

Kinda seems like Lacey’s determined to have a work ethic completely opposite of her Dad - to the point of overworking herself.

Also thought the encounter between Ricardo and Collins was odd.

Do we see a romantic partner for Gerry??? Oooo 🥰

Yes, Lacey seems very resentful toward her Dad. Must be an ongoing thing. When he said he was on vacation, Lacey murmured, "ALways on vacation." Yep, gotta be a gambler or jobless bum.
I bet that's why Lacey works so hard - what you said about being opposite from her Dad - and probably sending her mom some $$$.

I'm ready to find out who's behind the drug ring!

Sandy Blair | 18 comments I feel like we are playing the game Clue! So many people that can be guilty. I would love to see all the Shippers being pulled into the investigation and flushing out the bad guy!
There is definitely a story behind Lacey’s parents and her not so great relationship with her Dad. Can’t wait for the next chapters!

That's a good idea, Sandy - that the shippers get to help get the bad guys!

Anne (In Search of Wonder) (abcdefg88piano) | 17 comments I agree with everything y'all have said here! Also - "the course of true love never did run smooth". Lacey and Jon have a loooonngggg way to go! The shippers still have their work cut out for them.
