Challenge: 50 Books discussion

when counting the number of books read this year, if you have previously read that book in previous years and read it again this year dose it count as books read in 2008?

I count it. There aren't many books that I reread, but if I take the time to read it again, for whatever reason, I'm certainly going to count it.

Up to you. If you want your list to be new books you've read in 2008, then don't count it. If you want to keep a list of all the books you read, then count it. I'll be counting my re-reads.

I plan to read those classic V.C. Andrews books again so I'm counting them. I agree with Bishop. If I spend the time to read the book you bet I'm counting it. :)

Danine, I keep thinking about going back and reading the Flowers in the Attic Series too! I read My Sweet Audrina and the first two of the Heaven series but I think that's as far as I got with her stuff. They are so incredible trashy but man, did I love them in junior high and high school! Have you read many of her other series?

i've read the dollganger series starting with flowers in the attic, as well as broken wings and its sequel midnight flight are really great.

Haha. I kept thinking about re-reading the Flowers in the series Attic too. I got the the whole series on Bookmooch and "My Sweet Audrina" too. I only read the first Heaven book and I just couldn't get into it. They are incredibly trashy but in Jr. High and high school so were soooo awesome. I really think they should redo the movie.

If you do get to reading them this year let me know. Let's do the chic them and read them together then reminisce. ha. My sister Clare wants to read them again too. You rock Joanie!

I'd totally go for that! My sisters and I were sitting around telling my 18 year old niece about the books and I couldn't stop laughing! When you think about all the warped things that happened in those books it's really ridiculous, but I'll totally read them again! My Sweet Audrina was so twisted but read it over and over. I'll have to see if I can get them on Paperback Swap, I never tried Bookmooch, does it work the same way?

Okay Danine, I'm in! I just ordered all 5 Dollanger books (I forgot about the prequel, Garden of Shadows) and My Sweet Audrina from paperback swap. There was one person on there who had them all so I'm psyched!

i read the 'flowers in the attic' series in junior high/high school and LOVED them! i need to add those to my 're-read' list!! thanks for the reminder!
