I will nominate Earthlings by Sayaka Murata.
I really enjoyed her Convenience Store Woman, and I'd like to read something else by her. Looks like it will be another weird one though!

Sure Erica, I have read others by her. I like her hopeful slant.

Any more nominations or seconds?
Neuromancer is a classic in the sci-fi genre, wouldn't mind re-reading that one either. Great variety in our selections this time!

You're welcome to second it as well if you like Greg.

I already seconded Brotherless Night, and I don't think I can second two books? But it does look like Anna seconded Brotherless Night after I did. So I guess since that one is already seconded, I can switch my second to one of the others to complete the poll choices?
Both of the last two choices look good, but I'll second Neuromancer

That's what I was thinking, as Anna already seconded it, you were welcome to change your choice. Sorry, should have been more clear.

The poll is filled, thank you for doing it so quickly. As I have sent out a group broadcast today, I can't send any more. I will set up the poll tomorrow and send out the group broadcast then.
Thanks Alannah!
And thanks everyone for the nominations and seconds! I wouldn't mind reading or re-reading any of these!

Nominations start today and will close on 8th July 2024 (or as soon as the poll has six books).
During this time anybody can nominate and second one book each. You cannot second the book you have nominated. The 6 books with the most second votes at the end of the 7 day nomination period will go into the poll. There are no limits to the number of seconds a book can receive, although please be mindful of this as most times we do not receive enough nominations for the poll to open.
The poll will then run until the 15th July 2024 and the winner will be announced shortly after. I hope this will leave everybody with enough time to obtain the chosen book.
Please also check that your chosen nomination hasn't been a group read in the past. You can do this by looking at the group bookshelf, contact one of the moderators or post on 'Ask the Moderators' thread.
If you have any questions on the nominations process please contact me, use the 'Ask the Moderators' thread or post on here and we will be happy to help
