I started this and then realised there's more than 3 POVs. I can barely handle 2 let alone 6. Unfortunately a dnf for me.

through the end of chapter 12: So far I have come across 5 POVs (am curious who will be the 6th) and there are definitely some that sound like the exact same character. I genuinely don't recall much on what this is supposed to be about other than everyone seems to want to kill the king. I've seen not great reviews so a bit nervous and trying to keep my expectations low while not immediately assuming the worst.

Okay so here is the 6th POV and it seems to break down like this:
Royo and Aeri are travelling together.
Aeri was hired by Mikail who is traveling with Euyn.
Sora and Tiyung are traveling together.
There are definitely all liars and not being up front with each other - the most honest so far would be Mikail and Euyn. Here are my thoughts on each character so far:
Royo - seems like a genuine dude trying to do right by his ex-girl
Aeri - kind of annoying but curious to see what her background is like with her dad
Mikail - kind of the most logical so far and seems to be the one putting everything in motion - but why?
Euyn - NOT a fan of his back story - I don't dislike it but still not a fan
Sora - kind of haughty but don't dislike her as of yet
Tiyung - wonder if he'll do what he needs to for daddy or stick with trying to be different and lean into love vs power (hide spoiler)]

through the end of chapter 42: (view spoiler)[So I have thoughts. Not a ton of positive ones.
1. The shorter chapters and consistently switching POVs is kind of giving me whiplash. It's hard to connect with any of the characters because it is just switching over way to fast.
2. The characters are starting to have more of a one-dimensional feel. They each have a singular priority and all have extreme distrust for each other and yet are trusting each other to achieve this huge mission?
3. Things are becoming increasingly connected that it is becoming sus - The one person Euyn let go was Sora's dad? Royo pledges to Euyn to save the person he's been trying to save this whole time when just stumbles onto this plot? They just happen to run into a gang and Royo is the only one to know how to handle?
4. I definitely want to know what happens but I also am getting more annoyed (TBH) as it goes on. So far this feels like a solid 3 stars (maybe?) but could easily drop or maybe be raised? We shall see! (hide spoiler)]

finished this and have thoughts - undecided on what I'm going to rate it but am curious to see what others may think
