I'm wondering if anybody else read this book and then ended an abusive relationship? It completely opened my eyes to how I was being treated.

I've read the book and loved it, but I've never been in that type of relationship. I couldn't imagine being with a man like Shane. The book did renew my faith in God.

Yes, it reminded me that there is a God and that we need to have faith that things will get better.

So, I imagine you would not have stayed with Shane as long as she did? I kind of felt sorry for him. I wonder if she feels guilty for abandoning him when he clearly needed her. I know she's better off, but that's a tough decision.

No, I wouldn't have stayed with him. She did the right thing. She had to save herself. God didn't put her on this earth to be abused like that. She deserves better and I was happy when she realized it.
