Addicted to YA discussion

i’ve been looking for some new books on my tbr besides agggtm so i’ll take any recs!

Lynn Painter ( Better Than The Movies, Betting On You, others) are such super cute books!!!!!!!!! Fell in love with the imagary and all that. Another book, Divine Rivals has spice, but very little.

I ADORED The Do-Over! It seems to be her lowest-rated YA book, so maybe I'm in the minority, but I loved it!

If you like fantasy or fairy tale retellings, try Melanie Cellier's series. Her very first book (The Princess Companion) is a bit odd, but The Princess Fugitive, The Princess Pact, and The Princess Game are awesome. They have kissing and contact for sure, but nothing beyond that. :-) Something making the latter three even better is the depth. They're not preachy, but there are messages on redemption, temptation, and I think deception.

Its been a while since I've read it but The Ingeritance Games has no spice I think. Just a small kiss, but thats it.

Imogen, Obviously by Becky Albertalli, Heartstopper: Volume One and also any other books by Alice Oseman! Cemetery Boys and The Sunbearer Trials by Aiden Thomas have some really sweet moments and it's with no spice!

Ann Liang & Lynn Painter books

Kingdom of Wandering Souls by Lizzie Darcie is an ABSOLUTE MUST!! It is soooo underrated. It has no spice, and a nice, sweet, slow burn, forbidden romance. The prince is just sooo swoon worthy and it just gives off such...vibes? You'll get it when you read it, but I am literally BEGGING you to read this!!

Leia Princess of Alderaan by Claudia Gray.
Stuart Gibbs writes really well so does James Ponti (even better).
