Hallie | 6 comments I added a new edition of You Are So Undead to Me by Stacey Jay, as the audiobook wasn't in the database. Although clicking on 'add new edition' filled in the title and author on the form, somehow the audiobook edition doesn't show up under Books by Stacey Jay and when I try to combine the added audiobook edition with the others, it says 'none found' under 'Other editions'.

Obviously I've done something wrong, but I'm not sure what! And therefore how to fix it. Also couldn't find an ISBN for the audiobook on Audible or Amazon. Is this the problem?

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) | 2400 comments I'm not sure but it might be a caching issue, a delay. I'd suggest continuing to check to see if it shows up.

Hallie | 6 comments Oh, that would be great - I'll try that. Thanks, Lisa.

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) | 2400 comments Hallie, Well, that's interesting. I checked and the edition was there but not combined. I went ahead and combined it with the other two editions. If you chose the add a new edition I'd have thought it would have automatically combined; maybe those never do and the feature is there for the auto-fill of across editions information.

Hallie | 6 comments Thanks again Lisa. I'm still very unclear as to why the option to combine it with the other two editions didn't show up for me, but as long as it's sorted...

There is no caching delay for adding new books. And the "add a new edition" does NOT automatically combine the book with existing editions. It merely autofills some of the book data.

That doesn't find another edition until AFTER they have been combined. You need the combine page for that.

Rivka, Thanks. I wasn't sure. Ok, then the add worked fine, and I did combine it with the other editions.
